October 2011 - my lazy podcast

Sandwiched between the crushing pressure of work and the curshing lack of motivation on the other, I dusted off some of my favourite music of the last twenty five years for your listening pleasure. Anyone that knows me has probably had me try and force some of this on them at some point. If you're one of those people, I'm big enough to accept that you were wrong in not agreeing with me.

November 2011

A return to the standard format with new music and shit. This is one of those where I actually enjoy the music all the way through (I'm a terrible advert for my own prodcut)

December 2011

I did a Christmas podcast, so i really should have posted this at some point during the Xmas period. If nothing else I can probably get away with reposting the same one next year because nobody wants more Christmas in January, unless you're one of those odd types that really do believe thaty it's the most wonderful time of the year. It's an alternative christmas, so it's actually not all sleigh bells and saccharine. If it were Christmas every day I'd probably turn genocidal.

Occasionally it's nice to lean back in comfortable chair and reflect on my growing internet fame.

There, that was nice. Of course, by the standards of the internet I am the equivalent of a hermit loosely affiliated with an as yet undiscovered Amazon tribe. I probably live in a tree and eat lizards that I catch with numerologically significant lengths of wood. I spend evenings listening to the Binary Choice, the choice of 7 out of 13 hermits.

Yes I know I've been shit. Real life has occasionally intruded* mostly in the form of being required to actually work whilst in work, thus limiting my time for finding music. Technically that's what my home time is for, but hey, I'm a busy man.

So, it appears that it's been an incredible three months since the last upload to this site. Thankfully there doesn't appear to have been anyone stumbling across this page as in this time as my download quota is untouched!

Choc full of tunes uncovered during February!

This month's special guest is the venerable Simon "Don't Call me Susan" Lindley. A man blessed with the mixing skills of a god and the funky dance moves of a demonically possessed groove ape.

The vox are a little bit quiet, but it's a good mix - we cover most of the genres. :0)

I said this last time but I hope to do this more regularly, so I should have one out at the start of April.

Hello everybody.

Well after what seems like some six weeks since I psoted the last one, I've finally completed the second of these podcasts. It would have been out last week but we ballsed up the recording.

The eagle eyed amongst you may have noticed me using the pronoun "we". That's because for the next few podcasts as least, you're going to be on double bubble, as it were. For this musical extravaganze, I've enlisted the musical talents of the Sunday Pope himself, my friend Tristan. I might stick a photo up at some point so you can look at his beard and hat.

My aim with this is to recruit friends, Romans and countrymen to record half the podcast with me - there will be a two hour format. I do an hour, you do an hour, and fortune and glory will await us both.

(We haven't completely ironed out the technical problems that come with using a shitty mic, but everything you need to hear can be heard.)

Hello to the internet!

A couple of years back i spent a while doing a bit of internet radio with my mate Ben, basically playing tracks i enjoyed for the benefit of anyone I could emotionally blackmail into listening. After much sitting around with my thumb up my proverbial, i've finally decided to get motivated and start trying to do these again.
